A Change Of Luck- St Patty’s Day Poem

A Change Of Luck- St Patty's Day Poem by Salty Vixen

Broken down and stranded
Along came a pick up truck
Yes he looked quite handsome
At last came my change of luck

His strong arms to the rescue
He helped me in the seat
Your looking kind of hungry
Do you care for a bite to eat

He said he knew a scenic place
In which to share some food
Not only did my luck change
This guy had changed my mood

Along the road we travelled
A beautiful lake came into view
Now I was happy to be stranded
To share the afternoon with you

How my day had suddenly changed
You spreading the blanket out for me
Then you gently took hold of my hand
Then whispered this was meant to be

Gazing up at you ,I think you are right
Yes Im sure we were meant to meet
Right now holding me close to you
Caressing me from head to my feet

Forgetting all about the food
We had to much to say and do
I was saying how you change my day
As I now snuggle close to you
